To me, a photo shoot is all about capturing that connection and bond between you and your people. I believe Tofino and Ucluelet are WILDLY great places to get married, and as a person who loves to travel to far-flung destinations, I believe that elopements abroad are the adventures that lifetimes are made of.
I fell in love with photography at a young age. When I was growing up, my dad had a dark room in our basement; I remember exposing the silhouettes of leaves I found in the garden on the enlarger as a favourite project. In 2001 when I embarked upon college, he gave me his camera – a Pentax Spotmatic – which I left in my car overnight and was soon stolen. Such is life.
I was born on the prairies, but I love sand and sea, so my family and I moved to Vancouver Island in 2017 and haven’t looked back. I’ve had the good fortune to shoot weddings far and wide and will always fly away with you to capture your love and your moments. I love to shoot on the beach, but return again and again to the city streets.
I live with my husband Layton and our two kids, along with a cat and a dog. I love languages and am learning Spanish, French and German. When I’m not shooting you might find me with a good book, drinking copious amounts of black coffee.
